A family of sandhill cranes (Grus canadensis) raids a neighboring red-wind blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) colony in a secluded forest marsh high in the Swan Range, Montana. Female crane shakes incubating birds from their nests, while the male feeds eggs one by one to his chicks in the grass below.
