Niko Tinbergen's "Behavior of Animals" was the first book I read entirely by myself, at the age of 6, and its text and amazing drawings, that I copied endlessly, are imprinted in my brain forever. Now, a life and a world away from my tiny room in a Moscow City highrise, one of its behavioral plates came alive on Freycinet coast of Tasmania.
